In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), which emphasizes holistic youth development, increasing the Gross Enrollment Ratio, and fostering skill enhancement for the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Patna College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), has undertaken multiple initiatives to enrich students’ knowledge and soft skills. The institution has implemented a wide range of skill development activities including spot reading, language grooming sessions, debate competitions titled “Speech Completion,” and “Book Review” programs to enhance communication and critical thinking skills. These initiatives are essential for not only securing employment but also excelling in professional environments. Career counselors assist students in reflecting these skills effectively in their resumes. The college also promotes life skills through yoga and photography courses, which are accessible to all students, broadening their career opportunities and enhancing employability. The curriculum incorporates practical training such as entrepreneurship development, internships, fieldwork, certificate programs, and add-on courses. In collaboration with the IQAC, the Career Counselling and Placement Cell has conducted week-long skill development programs in partnership with reputed local organizations like Rice, Avlon, Gen Next Information Technology, and Anudeep Foundation. These collaborations ensure hands-on learning experiences through industry tie-ups. Regular mentoring sessions are held to guide students in enhancing their skillsets and employability. The college also partners with institutions such as RICE, Bandhan Bank, and SBI to nurture a proactive and industry-aligned approach. Moreover, facilities like the gymnasium and yoga sessions contribute to students’ mental well-being and personal development. To further promote innovation and entrepreneurship, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) has set up an Incubation Centre that offers training and organizes workshops to cultivate entrepreneurial competencies, preparing students to meet the demands of the evolving global workforce.
