Uniform Leave Rules
To ensure consistency, accountability, and uninterrupted academic progress, the following Uniform Leave Rules are applicable to all students and staff members of Patna College of Pharmacy.
General Guidelines
- Leave cannot be claimed as a right; it is subject to the exigencies of service and prior approval by the competent authority.
- Unauthorized absence or failure to report after the expiry of leave may result in disciplinary action.
- Every employee must submit a written leave application through the proper channel before availing any leave, except in emergencies.
Leave Application Procedure
- Leave application must be submitted in writing or online (if applicable), clearly stating reason and duration.
- Staff must ensure arrangements for academic responsibilities before proceeding on leave.
- Unauthorized absence may lead to disciplinary action or salary deduction.
Holidays and Vacation
- The college observes official holidays as notified by the institution at the beginning of each academic year.
- Teaching staff may be entitled to semester or annual vacations as per academic schedules.
- Every employee must submit a written leave application through the proper channel before availing any leave, except in emergencies.
Leave Record
- All leave availed must be recorded in the institutional attendance register and HR system.
- Any discrepancy must be immediately reported to the administrative office.
Leave Rules for Faculty and Staff
- Casual Leave (CL) : Granted up to 12 days per calendar year. Unused CL will lapse at the end of the year.
- Earned Leave (EL): Accumulated as per service tenure and may be availed with prior approval.
- Medical Leave (ML) : Granted on submission of a valid medical certificate..
- Maternity Leave (for Female Staff): As per government norms.
- Paternity Leave (for Male Staff): As per institutional policy.
- Special Leave : May be granted for academic, research, or training purposes with the management’s consent.
